Parents, partners, and peers: The Role of influencers in adolescent girls’ and young women’s PrEP use is a Global PrEP Learning Network* webinar hosted by the PEPFAR- and USAID-supported MOSAIC consortium.

We know that adolescent girls and young women live complex lives full of important relationships that shape the decisions they make. Yet too often efforts to generate demand for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) fail to reach beyond the individual user to her support system—those trusted people in her life who she leans on when making important choices.

But demand generation for PrEP is evolving.

In this webinar, we will review the evidence behind the influence of parents, partners, and peers on adolescent girls’ and young women’s decisions and practices related to PrEP use. In a deep dive discussion with intervention designers and youth advocates, we will explore promising interventions for increasing support for PrEP use from these influencers and learn about recent efforts to integrate them into national PrEP demand generation strategies.
